Incorporated on April 9, 1998, ZooBone Records Inc. has spent the last two years establishing the foundation of its operations and establishing a network that would allow it to commercialize the artists it has developed since its inception, while providing exceptional production services to other artists and companies.

Early highlights include the release of ...At Random's Feel Mount Real in 1996 and the production, engineering, co-composition of Bran Van 3000's critically acclaimed debut, Glee (Audiogramme/Capitol), in 1996-7.

In 1998, after releasing four diverse and critically acclaimed 12" singles, two national number ones on college radio charts as well as producing the regular Montreal Massives (a series of underground hip-hop and urban music showcases live-broadcast on CKUT 90.3 FM), ZooBone achieved its first goal: becoming the reliable source of dope Canadian hip-hop and highlighting the talent that lies within Mount Real.
