ZooBone is competitive, independent musical excellence charting a unique course for urban music in and from Canada.

While ZooBone Records Inc. is over two years old, the name ZooBone has been in circulation for over a decade. ZooBone was born out of an interest in producing and releasing cutting-edge urban and pop music from Montreal.

We are a production-based record label. Our foundation is our ability to produce commercially viable music for ourselves and other labels including Audiogramme, BMG, Chrysalis, Capitol, Warner and Aquarius Records. We are a sound system, meaning we provide complete production services (from pre- to post-production) and independently market our creations or commercialize artists' work with other partners.

ZooBone's goal is to be one of the best independent urban sound systems in the world with the ability to do business on the basis of creative and musical values. With hip-hop as an important reference point for its underground spirit, ZooBone aims to be recognized as an URBAN music producer capable of Hip-Hop, Reggae, DanceHall and Dub for the headz, Rn'B, Soul and Pop for the mainstream, as well as Techno, Jungle and Breaks for the Dance scene.

The ZooBone spirit is that of pioneer and innovator, developing a solid base of support for our sound and product. Our corporate philosophy aims to nurture, produce, promote, and market strong and committed Canadian artists out of Montreal who share our interest in the business and cultural aspects of independent and cutting-edge urban dance music, in particular hip-hop and the new Jazz.
